True story, my sweet little guy changed his mind at least five times as to what type of party he wanted to have. At two weeks out, I stopped asking him and just went with a safe option: Paw Patrol. It came together SUPER cute- even though I put it all together in those two short weeks. Most importantly though, Torsten was over the moon about it. Here are some of my favorite details of the day…
Paw Balloons! I’m not a huge fan of purchasing lots of licensed decorations- I love to get creative so I bought a pack of black balloons and blew them up to two different sizes- one bigger and three smaller. Regular clear tape did the trick to get the to stick to one another. Getting them to stick to the wall was actually much more complicated!

I made two different types of cupcakes. One was just a traditional vanilla cake with green Swiss meringue buttercream vanilla frosting and of course a character! I just bought little $2 mystery grab bags and rolled with what I got!

The second cupcake was a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting and Recess minis and cups shaped to make paw prints. I loved how these turned out and they tasted amazing. It worked out great because everyone got a little something special on top of their cupcake.

As previously stated, I like to think outside the box! The Look Out Tower seemed like the perfect place to house Paw Patrol cupcakes! They fit perfectly and they looked adorable!

My always talented mom can work some miracles with cardboard and paint. I’m a little spoiled to have her. Parties are not complete without a great photo op these days and my mom has been helping me deliver these for years.

Who doesn’t want to eat chips out of a dump truck!? Rubble stood guard of his cargo- but these chips still got gobbled up fast! Food vessels don’t have to be cake stands and bowls. 😉

We let the kiddos run wild and play outside and inside; which is my favorite kid party style: Let the kids do their thing! What’s your favorite family birthday party tradition!?
